A. 比(用于比较级) (used to introduce the second part of a comparison )

I am taller than he is /him. 我比他高。

The house is bigger than that one. 这间房子比那间大。

修饰比较级常用even, a little, a bit, much等等。

B. 宁愿……而不愿，常用在would rather…than 或would…rather than 句型结构中。

I would rather stay at home watching TV than go shopping.

=I would stay at home watching TV rather than go shopping.

C. （比较数量、距离等）多于，小于，少于(more/less/fewer 等等)

It took me more than two hours to finish the task. 完成这个任务花费我2个小时。

D. （表示一事紧跟另一事发生）就 ，常用在no sooner…than的句型中。

No sooner had I arrive at home than I received a letter from Tom yesterday.

 昨天我一到家就收到一封来自汤姆的信。
